Society programs:
All the Society general membership meetings are held at the Society's Historic Church, located at 6731
Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, MN 55427, on the second Thursday of each month, beginning at 7:00 P.M.
The meetings are free and open to the public. No reservations are needed.
February 9 – Roxanne Gould and Jim Rock will return for another presentation on Native American history. The meeting will be held at the Society's Historic Church, 6731 Golden Valley Road, at 7:00 p.m.
March 8 – Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Paul Anderson will give a presentation about the U.S. Civil War as a Civil War general. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
March 10 - The Society will again co-host an antique road show at the Woodbury Senior Residence at 2825 Woodlane Drive, Woodbury, MN 55125, from 2 – 4 p.m.
March 24 - The Society will co-host another antique road show at the Calvary Center Cooperative Senior Residence at 7600 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, MN 55427, from 2 – 4 p.m. Members of the public are invited to bring up to 5 items for appraisal. Professional appraisers Bonnie Lindberg and James Marrinan will provide background information and an oral appraisal for each item. A $5.00 donation will be collected for each item to be appraised. Donations help fund restoration of the Golden Valley Historical Society’s historic church and museum. All general membership meetings are held at the Society's historic church at 6731 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, MN 55427, at 7:00 p.m. Attendance is free and members of the public are welcome.
